Game Crashes to Desktop
Like in the Title Game crashes when i start a new game

The article was in respawnfirst . com if you want to take a look yourself. I just typed "Farthest Frontier Crashing" into google this morning and this article was the first to pop up.

graphics settings were fine literally 14 hours previous, but i tried that anyways and no dice.

RAM on my system isn't overclocked, so that's not it.

i've got a correlating system log with the unity crash noting a virtual memory issue, so i'm guessing atm something doesn't load or build properly during the loading phase. i was able to get into my save after rebooting twice and flushing my pagefile, but it currently looks like i have to do that EVERY time i'd want to play, so for now i'm hoping the dev can crack it.

I have the same crash. I close steam completly and after restart it starts normal

Same here... No error report.

EDIT 1: I've tried to play more than 10 times, changing the configs, restarting the game, verifying the files. The game wont run for 5 minutes.

takes to long to load than freezes all the time

Game opens to Title Screen. Selected: new game, pioneer difficulty, smallest map, Lake map. It plays the opening cutscene (which you can't skip, so if you have crashed as many times as I have you will memorize it), but you can see the shadow of your task bar. It then begins to load the map. Gets anywhere from 25% to 80% then crashes and goes to desktop. Same error as Cutdown.

I have verified the files and it was fine. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it just in case. Verified again. Restarted my PC. Checked my drivers. All of the usual culprits. Tried to report it to dev via the forum, but I it was a bit of a hassle for this early in the morning before work.

I just wanted to get in and poke around a bit, but I can't get into a map to do so. :steamsad:

Please try these steps and let us know if that helps:

1. Try clicking Random for the map seed a few times
2. Select Small Map
3. Start Game

Restarting the game/steam could in effect achieve similar results if you end up with a map seed that's not crashing.

We are aware of a rare issue with some map seeds crashing the game and have a fix going up ASAP to address it.

At first steam restart helped. now the screen stays black when the game starts. Sound can still be heard.
Tried everything, checking files for errors and reinstalling.

It's possible that you PC may not meet the min specs to run the game. I have seen this error a lot because I brought a game one time where It just constantly crashed right to the desktop without giving me any error message and the Dev said that my PC didn't meet the Min specs to run the game.

I would check your PC to make sure that It meets the Min Specs If It doesn't meet the min specs I suggest contacting Steam to make sure that they will give you a refund regarding this issue. I forgot to mention It sounds like your Graphics card isn't good enough to run the game. If your trying to play this on a intel HD graphics card I don't think It's compatible with this game I could be wrong.

3080 tI 10900 KF 32 GB 3200 MHZ i just don´t think so ^^

Tryed everything you listed dosen't help, sadly

Thank you for your help. Btw I love Grim Dawn and hope to be able to play this game too asap :)

this is basically happening to me since the hotfix, which gets really wierd b/c yesterday it was playing fine for hours.
