long distance mine
So i have a coal mine kind of far away. Is there a way to make the transport cart go and collect from it so the workers dont have to run it back? is there say a way to put something like a work camp or stock yard to dump it in and have a cart come and get it to take it to the main one?

I feel you. I've only mined coal in two settlements so far, but they have all been super tiny deposits that make me wonder if it's intentional.

Make sure you have a wagon house built for each mine and two operators and they will continuously ferry materials back to your main storage. Also make sure to drop down some temp housing a well and root cellar too next to the mine so the workers never have to truck all the way back to town.

If its a large area of mines and you have three or more running at once then its also useful to additionally drop a forager, t1 hunter shack and smoke house and it will be a nice little self sufficient operation.

I have used the starting "supply wagon" to sit next to new mines until they can get up to speed for resources and building in the area. Just click off the X to keep the supply for what you want on the wagon.

Yep, during the initial construction of your mining op the ox wagon helps bunches.

Though unless you're playing pacifist, you'll also need to build defences, since the raiders will attack and loot it if given the chance.
