The Trader only has cattle after you upgrade the Trading Post to T2 ... which should be apparent by the fact the goods are greyed out when the Post is at T1
I mean I need to have unlocked tier three town center before I can use the barn, why then is it unlocked at tier two?
thats not true at all
OP just had incredibly bad RNG luck.
Better build the barn before buying cattle, because I did it otherwise and my cattle disappeared (aka died) until the barn was built :D
Almost all building have no use untill you have unlocked tier 3.
You can't use the following; Cooper, vault, windmill, bakery and armory. And baybe barn, I don't know.
Most of theese is do to you needing Iron bars, but theese are not unlocked until tier 3.
And you, in my case at least, can't buy thoose at the trading post either.
I mean I have an iron mine, but no use of it.
So to be able to puschace them I need to save up for multible years per cow.
Finite resource until next patch btw.
But still i agree with you to not sell stones at all ;)
Traders come by random. Your first trader can have cattle, or your 100th can have it.
But you will have the option to "call" a specific trader with the next update so your not so depenant on luck.
Just sold some planks and baskets, neither of the other options appear as sellable. I can purchace them, but thats it.
I am able to sell food quite easily, but that seems like a way to disaster. Having multiple farms, foragers, hunters, fishers and am just barely able to keep up with demand.
Still havn't had a merchant selling iron bars, so can't make barrels and are thus not able to keep food for that long.
Also you talk as if the game tells you any of this, it doesn't it tells you practically nothing.
