Boar hunting is purely manual, you have to select your hunters and right click a boar to send them after it. Plus the boars are tough and fast, so more than 1 hunter is advisable to make sure you get the kill.
You'll see them roaming about near their icon, but villagers can spook them into running pretty far away from it
Something is weird in my game then. Because I have played this for many hours so far, like 3 days straight, and gone over the whole map, and see the boar icons, but I never ever find the boar!!
Are you sure you not thinking of deer? I thought maybe the boar was not added yet into the game! Can anyone confirm? Or do they simply run so quick you do not see them?
Because I sent my hunters into the "boar zone" many times, and they never ever get anything?
that made me think, boar was not added yet?
And yeah you need to find the boars, I keep the F3 UI option toggled so that all my villagers names and tasks are over their heads, and then the boars will get a yellow HP bar with Boar written on it, lot easier to spot that way, otherwise they're just small black pigs roaming about.
I'm guessing the reason you're not finding them near their icons is that they've been spooked by your villagers coming near them, I only got a couple attacks from them on my laborers early on, otherwise they tend to get scared and run pretty far away
Dang.. I thought those bears were simply mass abominations that would make all my citizens run away, and I was wondering, wtf? Why dont they simply gang together and attack them?
You telling me I can make my citizens attack the bears together? That would have saved my alot of hassle!
After I learned to manual control, I started making one villager run around and kite them so I could gang up on them.
Funniest thing I realized during a bandit raid, you can even command children, I'd drag-selected a bunch of villagers and accidentally sent a bunch of 5-year olds to fistfight the bandits lol
Alright, thanks for the tip, I had no clue or advice about manual control, i do not like reading guides much, and prefer to poke around en solo
Not sure they give different stats or hp to people based on age. But would be great if they made the adult citizens more stronger. Hope they do.
Do my citizens have bows? Because I have heaps of bows stored. I think that is only for hunters and soldiers.
I just saw two big fat boars
And it was not from chasing it down, it was because I have a lookout tower on a very tall mount.
Im gona pick a hunter and manual him/her
Good to know I can manual my citizens to fight the raiders. I am about to get stomped by them next attack, last one was 80 raiders with 3 rams.
I can manually collect carcass too? Great, so many wasted carcasses from those towers.
Now if only I could manually move citizens into housing near where they work. Can they not add then right click move citizen into a house with an empty slot, and then it ask, do you want to relocate here? yes think can be good this
I never go to game company forums. I will take what comes. Thanks for the tips on the manualling.
