Please remove the green arrow when placing buildings!!!
It doesnt do anything at all, the arrow doesnt need to connect to a road so what is the point?

I guess its mainly for aesthetic reasons. Like, u dont want to have your fletchery access door in front of your compost yard side wall but to the main road, and so on...

The point is so you know which side is the front of the building. It doesn't have to have a mechanical purpose beyond that.

You don´t like your city to be nice and orderly? In real life you don´t need a road to your door either, I don´t have one. My building faces a playground/statue, have to walk 30 seconds to reach the parking lot on the other side.

But some areas are built almost identically because people want some symmetry in their life.

i can see your point but again we can physically see where the door is, cant we? I guess i just nitpick but I feel so guilty not connecting the arrow with a road even thought I know it does nothing

i dont follow your point, I like my city to be orderly, thats why in some case, it looks better to rotate the building, but then the arrow is not connecting to a road and it bothers me even though i know it does nothing. for example a layout of houses 3x3, the house in the center wont be connecting to a road and its ok but yet it bother me

If it does nothing then why does it bother you? ... I like it for symmetrical purposes. I don´t always follow the arrow but its nice to have.
