Monry cheat for early game
I created a huge layout for a city in my latest game. As things are currently too far away for such a small population I ran into many issues. One of them was money, but I found a cheat/ exploit in the current build.

Basically when you have no money, you don’t get a negative balance if you spend too much on guards, schools, etc. So you can build all you want but it has no negative impact (as far as I’m aware) if you cannot pay for it.

How this can be exploited is by keeping your cash in the trade center and only transfer the money to the town when you need to build something that requires gold, like the theatre for example. Even though you cannot pay the upkeep at this moment, it’s no problem because your gold will not become negative. Once you will have more population they will pay more taxes and once you are on positive income this cheat will become useless.

I’m not sure it’s an intended or desired exploit in the game, but if not this could be resolved by buildings stopping to work or even being destroyed after upkeep is not paid for X amount of months. Alternatively the gold from trading center could also be confiscated by the guards if their salaries are not paid, what do you think?

You can build more shelters within market range to get more taxes, even if shelters are unpopulated.

Plus buy 50 bricks at trader to upgrade market to T2.

I got so much gold before moving to T3 that I had to buy iron for a vault, because gold wasn't fitting all my storage.

Not paying your soldiers can make them desert.

I believe there are some issues with some buildings still providing their services when gold is not paid, which we are looking into.
