There are minor bugs, AI can be a little frustrating at times, but no more so than any other game in the genre.
It looks nice, however you can see performance hits when you get large numbers in population, dependant on your system. Obviously a current gen i9 or AMD equivalent, with enthusiast level current gen GPU, on a fast M.2 SSD will run much better than a 3 or 4 gen older system. So update your drivers and close unnecessary background apps.
This game is a combination of Dawn of Man and Kingdoms Reborn, two games that i choose from any other games on steam to spend thousabds if hours now im running on 500 hours on this game and still enjoying it more than any other games.
I love watching houses go up in flames, people running around with buckets of water, fussing, putting out fires and running about.
I like how the hunter fights with the bear and then hides in the house, and the bear breaks the beehive in the nearest field and gorges on honey.
I love how in a fierce winter people hide in houses, and warm smoke comes out of the chimneys, and the windows of the houses glow with homeliness.
I admire when a small detachment of warriors from my village destroys a large gang of raiders and a brave hunter with the last of his strength catches up with the last surviving raider and scalps him.
And in the end, I love it when diggers set up a fort on a hill and level the fields under it, and after hard work go to the pub, get drunk on beer and have a dashing brawl.
This is a worthwhile game.
I have well over a hundred hours in..so..very worth the purchase.
