Gold storage

I'm playing on pacifist mode so should not get raiders and have reached yr 14. I keep getting a notice "No gold storage". Do I need a vault? I keep most of the gold in the trading post.

Once you get to the limit it will say that. The TP can only hold so much. I IRC its once you hit 1000 gold? or maybe 5000?

The trading post can hold infinite at the moment (had 500k in there np). It seems you are making more money than the traders can stock before the next batch is generated. So yeah, make a vault. The game needs another storage than the trading post, as this one is "special".

My gold is stored in a timewarp i think, its neither in the vault or tradingpost

Storage houses also hold gold and they are cheap to make.

Yeah, i get this as well. Gold isn't in either the storage or the TP and it can be as much as 5K that's gone ghost mode. Apparently my villagers are storing their gold in offshore bank accounts or something.

Before you get your trading post, or a vault, gold is stored in storehouses. When they get full, you get that message. After a while though, gold just seems to be stored in a magical hole, as you'll have much more of it available than you can find in any storage

I find they won't take the gold out of the storage building and put it in the vault. So my storage is always showing full, because it's full of gold. How do you get them to move it out of storage and into the vault? I've unticked the gold for the storage.

Only newly earned gold goes in the vault, so what I usually end up doing is zeroing out my gold, then let new gold head into the vault or wherever I've selected it to go. Not really hard to go broke in the early stage and it clears it out of all the storage areas. Once it starts piling up, make sure everything but the vault is unchecked.

You have the same 4 or 5 traders early that 2 come randomly each year, Learn their names as that will give you a clue as to what each trader carries. That will also clue you into what they will buy. Pottery, clothing are easy money makers to sell. Sell when you see the double green arrow up and buy when you see the double red arrow down.
