Fence around crop field.
To everyone screaming about this being in the early stages: I know!

I don't understand the thinking when it comes to the fences around the crop fields. They already have something that looks like a gate, and trees and what not growing on the outskirts. Wouldn't it be much easier to have 2 types of crop fields. With and without a fence? As it is now, putting up a fence on the row outside the fields 1. looks seriously ugly, and 2. Might force you to rebuild a lot of stuff, because you didn't think about it up front. And if you absolutely wants us to build the fence as a separate operation, at least let us use the outskirt of the field ie. where the trees and plants are now. If you've ever been in a rural area, that's how it's done, in real-life. :steammocking:

I actually really like the necessity of a fence/wall around the farms. While it does visually appear to already have hedgerows, needing fences and gates helps the immersion for me. Game has a looooooong list of flaws, but this is not one of them, in my eyes.

I think the wooden fences look fine. A whole lot better than the chain-link fences we had to use to keep deer out of our crops on our farm. And you can go in and remove the ones between fields if they are built right up against each other, and reclaim some of the wood for other projects. After building 3 crop fields next to each other, I just take out the fences between them, and the farmers happily all go in through the front gates, and move from field to field to work, and the deer stay out.

It looks like a double fence to me, first whatever is along the rim, with the trees and plants, and then another fence outside it. I have no problems with a fence, but don't make it take up extra space, when there's already space to use for it.
