how to increase villager

i know vilager will come imediatally,but how to increase chance of new vilager come to our vilage?

surplus food ! i think around 5 months-ish +. Surplus shelter would be good too, for winter.

Complicated. Food is definitely #1. There is that first pop up that tells you. 6 months of food and housing. Housing is the tricky one. See you can have 100 houses, space for 400 and be at like 385 people and people will not come. Often you might get the 1 or 2. But most likely you will see babies more than immigrants. If you build a new house, you would see that people move in right away. Funny right. The game does seem to like the mechanic of new families for new homes. That 3rd or 4th sport is really reserved for families. People will move in, but they will prefer not too. So as you town gets larger, you will find that the number of housing spots must exceed by at least 10%. If I have housing for 450 and 400 people, I can get 4-8 people show up. But as you start to fill up the game seems to prefer filling it up with babbies. And BTW, so will you. Sure at first you want that extra worker you need, but later you want the demographics to be spread out. So build more homes is the key.

Not sure, but my town immigrants always want to join around 7 people and often new born after new years. I just focus on houses Desire first+steady food income. I have no time to build houses, when more Village want to join. 🙈
