I would think it will come to GOG eventually, but not until it's out of early access and fully released. When that will be ..... ?

Honestly if I have to choose between steam and gog i have following rules:
Game is on steam with DRM and on GOG without drm I will buy it on GOG
If game is on steam without DRM and on GOG also without DRM I will buy it on steam.

Because as much as I hate DRM I also hate GOG launcher, it's a piece of garbage with coding practices from 2004 where they expect you to give administrative privileges to every damn thing you do in it. Then you'll have arguments with idiots saying smart things like disable UAC and make your account administrator.

So please make it steam without DRM thanks! Framerates matter!

Just start the game with the game exe like normal people do. I never use the launcher for Singleplayer games

You have to use launcher to update gog games. Or maybe I could just download zip file or something? Never tried it. Still steam wins on DRM free game.

I used to have you attitude. Now I have totally dumped and deleted GOG and only use Steam despite its flaws. Unlike GOG, at least Steam doesn't believe in collective punishment of peoples of entire nations, nearly all of whom have no political power at all.

Steam all the way.

Not to start a flame war. But would you dump Steam if they had the same views as GOG? Either way, each to their own. I'm happy buying from GOG and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future regardless of the company's views as it's not my place to question their actions as they believe it's helping in some form or another. Although, I do feel sorry for all the people that can no longer purchase from GOG's Storefront. 'Because games for me are my life and have gotten me through hard times over the 'years 'especially when I had my Kidney Transplant when I was twenty-one & now I'm forty-three.

Team America - America f*ù$ yeah.
Ok Lucky, what do we do then? Love drm and anti cheat spyware and sell at any price, at the cost of war?
What is your solution, Lucky?
I also have a preference for GOG.

Hello. Any news from the studio for a release on gog? Thank
Dev stream of the 24th June 2022:

"Ramstab: is the game going to be launched on all platforms?
VivaLinux: Hello, Release on GOG is planned or not ?
emkyooess: GOG for the final release too? Please?

ZantaI: Currently we're focused on Steam, we'll see about GOG down the line. Not currently, especially for early access.

emkyooess: I understand not for the indev/early access. But for final release, I hope I'll be able to get it!

Medierra: Not sure I'll do GOG... I like them but it was a lot of effort to support / integrate their galaxy stuff on GD for what is a pretty small chunk of sales"

Thank you for your reply. I hope the studio will have the will to release it later.

man GOG is lame, they've pretty much abandoned linux support after posturing for over 3 years like they were totally not gonna ditch it.
SgtScum Aug 13, 2022 @ 11:44pm
To be fair a stable linux gaming distro is still somewhat of a holy grail even now so maybe they found that out the hard way and said nope not going to walk into that nest of snakes.
Eternauta Sep 1, 2022 @ 11:17am
I'll wait for a GOG release, if the developers want to do so.

Love Crate...
... HATE Steam.

This game looks promising - but not enough that I'd ever consider getting it on Steam for less than 90% off.

Frankly, these days I'm extremely hesitant to give money—or even just support—to any developer who can't see how awful Steam has become and/or who doesn't have serious ethical concerns about endorsing it at their paying customers' expense.

Every year this platform becomes even more overtly anti-consumer. It's also the sole leading factor needlessly inflating the cost of PC games while setting the bar for quality lower and lower. If you can organize shortcuts in a folder, Steam doesn't even bring anything of value to users beyond what any web browser can provide!

Unless a game has been Steam-exclusive for a couple of years and is clearly never going to make it to any half-decent/gamer-friendly/semi-ethical platform, I don't even THINK about purchasing on Steam - and even in that case, unless it's a GOTY or I expect it'll be a contender for my top 20 best games of all time, I'll still pass.

— and most of the folks I play with and talk to are increasingly doing the same (if they haven't already been doing so for years).

The PC gaming industry is maturing, and Steam doesn't have carte blanche in the market any more; all developers would be wise not to pretend that it's just a phase.

There are plenty of new, quality games across all genres coming out every year - and a lot of those WILL be on GOG (or self-published, or on the next generation of consumer-friendly/drm-free marketplaces to come, etc). Failing to even make an entry in ANY competitive market space is just asking to get blown out of the water by something else—even something not nearly as good—that arrives there first; that's a business 101 concept. Every opportunity lost is also an advantage forfeit.

Not releasing on GOG would just be a bad business decision - and no business survives too many of those. Sure hope Crate rethinks this one. <3
