Dream Training Medilan Mindgames 'Tough Cookie' - Am I stupid?
Can't work it out. No computer to open the room with all the shield generators. I have been banging my head against this wall for an hour and I surrender. Please tell me the thing I'm missing that will make me feel stupid as hell. I've finished the game, done all the extras. No f-ing clue here.

Fantastic game.

Don't have the level up in front of me, but try Dall's swap (maybe with the block) or Bank's upgraded Death's Floor. Or Jen's broom if there's a window, I always forget about that one.

You can't get in that room. You just have to kill him through the shields

Thanks, but nope, nope, and nope. No windows, Death's Floor can get someone over there, but there's no way to throw the block into the room to swap with. I really don't get this, I wonder if it's all a red herring with the shields. Maybe I need to find a way to get the big moose into a portal and the rest is a MINDGAME. Will see, I don't think I can move the guy though.

Okay I'm so dumb but I cracked it. Just gotta get the bastard through a portal. Death's door/Floor to position him, throw block somewhere you can charge from, swap with block, throw up another Death's Door, charge guy into oblivion.

You can also just straight up kill him through damage. Between using spore grenades with everyone present, charges, transference on a charge to get another hit in when hitting an ally, tranquilliser to increase all movement based damage, etc. you should have just enough to punch past all the shields in a single turn - even on Hard.

That's crazy, didn't even realise that was possible in one turn. Smacking him into an Eldritch horror portal on turn 1 was more doable for me. I tried gathering everyone around him and using spore grenade with the upgrade (1 damage per ally), even with Zan clones, couldn't get anywhere near finishing him.

The worst part of this was getting enough shroom grenade damage for the confidence goal. Need to do Rions and Dalls goal on two different tries. Killing him was never really the issue, even more because of the death door. :)

Needed the Riot block for the grenade, put the damage from about 7 to 16 or so for what every reason. No clone used. (Maybe because he got pushed into the block)

I think it's because the riot block isn't an ally as such, so it doesn't negate damage on it like allies do. It gets hit for 8, just like the enemy does. 16 total.

Maybe that is why, the math still feels a bit odd :)

IIRC I used Zan's clone to buy myself time to figure out confidence goals and then I just spent dozen or so turns stacking poison damage on enemy while false prophet was baiting attacks. Not flashy, impressive or quick, but very, VERY easy.

Fairly simple if you have Dall's unlimited charge and Rion's free ally pull perks. Just charge the dude, have Rion pull Dall back, then charge him again. Rinse and repeat until dead.

It seems daunting at first, but after playing around with it... there's SO MANY WAYS to kill him right through those shield. With five characters available and only one target, you can lay it on thick, real quick. Heck, the easiest way to do it is to just... hit him with Banks' main attack. The 'drugged' condition goes straight through shields and armor. If you've got it upgraded, you'll do 2 Drugged with one throw, then you can use Zan's time-bomb to give her another action, aaand now he's got 4 drugged, matching his 4 hit points. He'll die at the end of the round. Heck, you can even use Trauma Transference to prevent him from doing any damage before he keels over.

But really, the trick is in the Confidence-points - each of them is hinting at one way to just flat-out bulldoze through his shield, like Dall's repeated charges or Rion's 'friendly' spore-bomb.
