Group every character

Hi, I'm in act 3 and a map opens up with a 'group every character' message. I don't care about this part of the gameplay, I just want to move on to the strategical gameplay.
I checked a Youtube video and put the characters in the same order as that video shows.
Somehow my map keeps saying 'group every character' while he gets a ' 5 connections left to make' message at the top.
I have no clue what to do.

There's more to do than just grouping the characters, grouping aren't connections. Find the "poisoned by", "going to" (can't remember the exact words) and other verbs on the side of character portraits and drag them to the right place.

There's usually an ask Zan button to highlight what's not right. If that's not there, a screenshot might help us see what you missed

Thanks but that part comes after the 'group every character' part. I just alt-F4'd the game, tried again and now it worked. Not sure if it was a bug or that I did something wrong but I checked my group order with that Youtube video multiple times. Weird. At least I can continue now :)

Yes but not for that 'group every character' part. After setting up both groups correctly, for the next step the Zan button showed up again.

The order doesn't matter, just that you put characters in the correct group. It sounds like you encountered a bug.

Update: Oh OK, turned out I don't need to fill everyone in the groups.

Having the same problem, putting the characters in their respective groups seems to do nothing. As far as I can see there aren't any new connections to be made.

Are the character pictures shrinking down into the group slots? It's possible for them to be over the group without actually being in it. Does sound like a bug, though

At least glad to see I'm not the only one disliking that portion :) Would be better to add the Zan tips at that point so people can just skip that part.

As much as I personally love the Conspiracy Board stuff, I really see no reason it can't be completely skipped like every other part of the game can be. A lot of players are getting tripped up by it, it's still got some bugs to work out apparently, and there's no reason to go through it during a replay.

Don't like the dialogue? Skip. This map's too hard, or boring, or you don't wanna do it again? Skip. But the pushpins and yarn? Oh yeah, this is absolutely critical stuff, here.
