Any tips on how to beat Stone Golems?

This is about the "Stone Golems -1" quest after maxing out the reputation with the Baroness.

My main problem seems to be that my assassin dies to 1 shot the moment he attacks any golem, which is weird because they don't have any retaliation type of damage, they just have huge damage reduction.

Do I need like a Banshee or something to get through this? Massive DoTs via Burn and Poison or what?

They don't die if you has a shield on them or has the skill where they get down to 1 health for a number of seconds
