Size of Gladiator Team

Bought this game during the sale and enjoying it. Up to about level 5 gladiators now. Was wondering how big the fights get. I have six gladiators and am wondering if I need more as I advance. The largest number I could use at one time has been 5. How big do the fights get? Thanks

The biggest fights I've seen use 10 gladiators. In general I have 12-15 gladiators by end game, for other options or replacements.

The biggest fights I think I’ve seen are 14-16. I usually use less than recommended to keep levels high. I don’t have backup fighters; I just hoard crystals to revive.

This game seems to incentivize having like 30-60 units but there's no point, you can't level them up if they don't participate in battle, which beats the purpose of having this many units, it's stupid that some EXP doesn't trickle down to every other gladiator.

Yea the amount of characters you need to manage later in the game actually kind of ruins it for me, I hate manging/gearing out 10+ characters, especially with all these rules like you can't have more than 1 of an item, but then items will go obsolete in the shop eventually (I only do tourny mode) becomes way too tedious for me. Game would be more fun if it stuck to like 6-7 character max teams. I love what they did with the trait system, huge improvement over rerolling crap traits over and over, THANK YOU, game still has a problem with your time being bogged down lategame by switching around items, trying to plan ahead by buying XYZ before it can't be bought anymore etc. 5 minutes later Ok ready to fight, yawn.

Previously, I gave them an idea like adding boss units such as troll and spider as gladiator but the players can only control one unit because they are powerful.

Well, managing 10+ gladiators late game is kinda pain...

This is disappointing the hell out of me honestly, games like unlock more slots for gladiators!! Unlock them all!! 36 gladiator slots!!!

Buuuuut all the battles are like 5v5s even 1v1s and stuff. Game randomly says you can't bring more than 2-4 against a team of 6+ enemies.

10 gladiators per side is the largest I've seen, I've only played up to hard difficulty though so not sure if it might increase with difficulty level.

Tournament mode gets much higher, but I’m not sure if that’s relevant
