Killing high level pyromancers?
I'm trying everything to deal with high level pyromancers and warlocks, it gets impossible.

Mana assassins seem to die instantly, direct casters can't get the angle to hit, purifiers melt before cast.

Here is some tips for noobs....
shaman are good but energy vampire doesn't do anything on them
one machine gunner with energy vampire will drain any boss
warlocks are great but never spawn with energy vampire
rhino, shaman and summoner/warlock will get you through all early fights
one pyromancer will deal with the 20 little guy levels

I realise the fun is in the experimenting, but it can be so annoying!

First define high level.

Figured it out, the hook bots.

Hookers is definitely the most obvious way.

Highest score now 570, it's crazy difficult.

Rat x3, Pyro x2, Priestess, Rhino and a lot of energy vampire perks

At 570 even this combo gets squished by the enemy Pyros, trying other classes to add...

What a great little game.

Oh yeah 570 isn't deep at all. You got crazy, crazy stuff coming up in the next 400. Getting past that stuff will really give you a sense of accomplishment. But you gotta be lucky AND clever... ;-)

Focus on the long game all the way from the first battle. Find the class synergies and understand the mechanics of the game. Then, and ONLY then, work out a good TEST plan before you start and STICK TO THAT TEST PLAN. Your objective isn't to go deep in tournament, it's to understand how you can go DEEPER than you've gone before.

Planning on the fly based on luck of the draw won't get you very far into the late game compared to plan + focus on plan execution.

Last, remember that you can do things to help your late game position in almost every single round. Tiny details stack up!

I've tried out most classes, now I'm trying the best combinations. It all seems to be about fast dps and glass cannons. I've no idea how you survive after 570 when one AE can easily wipe you.

The game seems simple but tournament mode is complex and difficult. I love and hate this game.

edit...I uninstalled, it's too annoying getting 600

To get 570:

crossbowman - priestess - drummer
add crossbowman
add rat x2 (for boss)
add crossbowman
add pyro
add crossbowman
add priestess
add pyro

get any 8 sec invincible you find, the more the better
get as many energy vamps as you can
target pyros asap or skip

740 final set
x2 rhino
x2 purifier
x2 invigorator
x2 priestess
x1 cryomancer
x2 banshee
x1 machine gunner with stamina suck for bosses
x1 brigand have nice net skill
With my experience all meelee units, except rhino and drummer, useless. Items with invul and shield prior for every fighter. For most fights 1 taunt and cryo is enough for control, After 500 may be useful to add 1 more taunt in backline. I set invigorator priorities to buff purifiers and purifiers to kill enemy damagers (archers, pyros, summoners) and banshees to disable that damagers.
Near 700 rank enemies have absurd speed and damage and i dont see any tactics or skill to rank up. Pure random skipping fights for comfort one.
Advices welcome)

You don't have enough dmg scaling. Purifier is poor versus, say, Archer, or even Rat. Also start using necro because in most fights even 1 necro makes a massive difference. Tipping the early balance in some late battles is essential for winning them with most strategies and a necro is great for that. Try putting a ton of disabling gear on your main rhino. I call Taunt+KD+Fire the "Rhino start sequence" I've used it as an opener for like 90% of all my battles. Oh, and try out using druid instead of brigand. I'm not sure myself it is better yet, but it seems better so far. More flexible, especially when your main rng dmg is archer/rat/other.

Having said all that, I've yet to turn in a decent game on the official board. Only just turned it on a couple weeks ago. I'm on a good run now but having problems @ 875 with dmg not scaling up quickly enough to deal with some of these insanely unlucky combinations I've just hit lol nevermind I just now hit 1000 and the feeling of winning some of these rounds has been unbellievable. What a game indeed!

edit: Yes, invincible shield basically most valuable item. Collect them all. I also buy ultra-cheap gladiators to store extra gear on, because late rounds need flexibility and the inventory space available is simply insufficient.

Actually i dont have a problem with damage. Invigorators boost damage to space. With all cooldowns maxed its very nice combo, i have a problem with surivivability. If enemies with 100+ speed blink thru taunt i am dead. And all my team have 10k+ hp and invul+shield items. Especially if that enemy is high level assasin. That is why i use 2nd taunt. I tried archers. They need line of sight to damage and very often some fat mob blocking all the shots or enemy target hiding behind. Archers good but my best result was with purifiers

I'll take a closer look to necro, tnx

How you deal with ultraspeedy mobs?

Sometimes hookshot. Sometimes knockdown chain. Sometimes both. Sometimes taunt + focus burn. It depends on the situation and the rest of the opposition. I had a shaman/summoner based team that got up near 1000 a few months ago before the latest update, it was crazy some of those battles just went on forever. Regardless of strategy, I use the invulnerability window and the number of 8 sec you get per run varies WIDELY. If I had more on this current run I might get near 1100 but without it no way I'm getting much further unless skips are very, very lucky.

If you want to know the crazy rando-strategy I'm using on my current run:

I decided to give Lute Master Extrovert/Frenzied boost strategy a go since I ran into it randomly a few runs back... and it is certainly viable. I got 2 almost at the exact same time which was very lucky, fairly early in the run, and later I also got a Extrovert/Healthy+Powerful to support their dmg output. 4 invigs all extrovert/fit+powerful. 1 each boosts a Lute Master, with the best int one boosting the highest str frenzy lute master. 4th invig boosts other 3 invigs, starting with #1 int/str combo. This will 1 or 2 shot most rounds in the game with the right items, supporting team, strategy, and decent luck. I got a good rhino and some other extremely good luck on the run which definitely helped since I wasn't really going for hiscore, and i don't consider it "legit" cause I did alt-f4 a few times in disgust and resumed at a later time with a free life... yeah yeah, I don't care... YMMV but give it a go. It's a good idea, even with 3.5x str dmg multiplier.

Hey! I just did 820:
1 x Rhyno
1 x Lutemaster max agility 3 x rings (gives fire, cold and curse to all the enemies)
2 x summoner
4 x archers
1 x necro
4 x banshees
Pyro is useless imo as burning damage doesn't stack, the other dark mage is better because it gathers the enemies and helps with the final blows. Tried a run with 4 of them but got to 760ish. Lute I've tried got 780. I've tried with the poison dwarfs but also that poison damage doesn't stack, so it's useless. I wanna try with the knives mamas to see if they can perma lock but prob there is that damage doesn't scale with accuracy. Don't really know how you could get to 1000+ :)
