Why won't my priestess gain XP?

I just started playing the game tonight and enjoy it. But I can't figure out why my priestess isn't getting XP like the other gladiators? Any help is appreciated.

You need to read and see she does gain any. I had a guy who never leveled, I read and he is called lazy and will never gain exp

or if they die they won't gain any exp

if the character has the Brick quirk then they wont get any further XP. Look for a picture of a brick on their character sheet.

Yeah, it was the "dumb as a brick" or something to that effect! No wonder the priestess was so cheap! lol

Cheap is good, don't knock it, I just completed the game with 12 Gladiators with a total monthly cost of 180gp.

The Brick dudes can be good cheap buys to get you through the next tournament as they'll come ready levelled & then you can sell them later when they're out-levelled and need replacing.

That dude with amazing stats that levels up every fight? Sure, good gladiator, but is their 100gp a month really 'needed' ;)

Yeah that negative quirk prevents her from gaining xp. But as gradualsmith said, gladiator like that is cheap for buying and has low wages. So she can be solid addition to boost your team for little gold until your other gladiators don't get much higher levels. Same goes for other negative quirks. They impact price and wages a lot so they can be pretty useful if used well.
