The only reasonable way I can see someone rushing through either game is if they have already grinded their way into optimal stats and digimon with a NG+. You can somewhat reduce the amount of committed grinding you'll do on your first play, but probably not enough that it's worth doing if the whole purpose is to grab your digimon from CS.
If we are talking about reducing the 100h+ to something along 30~50 hours and you find those numbers satisfactory enough to be worth the trouble of a NG+, then yes, "rushing through" should be manageable.
I saw someone do a speedrun (9h more or less) and thought about taking some notes to reduce de grind overall (i saw they used at least 1 P. Numemon and anyway 2 Ouryumons). I think i'll probably take a few days off, especially because college, and start my HM playthrough soon while enjoying the story.
