haven't got to them on the pc version yet but I remember liking hacker's memory a heck lot more than cyber sleuth though in story and character department when I played the game on ps4.
have you played any other jrpg before? most of them go through long stretches of time with no action whatsoever, just dialogue/cutscenes
but sure believe that. idgaf lol.
you haven't answered my question yet.
but indeed the dialogue in hacker's memory is better, the HM characters are also way batter too imo, but that is subjective
I enjoyed the game personally even if some of the dialog really did drag on to the point of going beyond what is welcome. Probably not a game I will play twice given there is no way to skip dialog at all. The story was nothing to write home about but it wasn't the worst either. It was... Okay. Nothing remarkable but I didn't expect it to be and that is perhaps why I am getting my money worth out of it.
I wish it kept revolving around that but with more sophisticated mechanics later on instead of just 'get digimon with penetrating moves, forget everything else'.
As far as the gameplay goes, what really bugged me was that the Digimon were kind of sidelined in a way. Most of the time we're dealing and doing stuff with human characters with the Digimon as a backdrop. They feel less like sentient beings and more just typical mons (outside of the Royal Knights and the odd case specific mons). The fact that most of the text heavy side quests offer no XP for your party Digimon is insulting.
Still enjoy the games, all in all, but they are heavily flawed. The way Digi/evolutions are handled is probably my favourite aspect of it.
again if even that's too much for you then look for something else.
the penetrating move part is only really relevant if you want to min max thing and end fights in literal seconds.
