How do you create Devimon?
I've been trying to create Devimon by digivolving a Demidevimon, but I've noticed that the required level to create it is higher than the max level that Demidevimon can reach. I've also had a few other rookie levels Digimon that also listed Devimon as a possible evolution but all of them also had a max level of 15, below the required 16.

So I was wondering how exactly I'm supposed to get them to reach this level, is there some kind of method that you have to use to get a Rookie beyond what would be the normal level it can reach?

I see, so I basically have to change to something else first then revert it back and the level cap increases then?

yup.

just de-digivolve your demidevimon to its in-training form.

then after that, digivolve your demidevimon again.

here is one thing that i'm going to let you know

1) for examon, i found out that all you need is Slayerdramon/breakdramon to reach the requirements to digivolve to examon, the counterpart can just be at level 1.

which means, slayerdramon meets the requirements to digivolve to examon, breakdramon can just be at level 1 that is all and vice versa.

same thing if you want alphamon ouryuken as well.

To be more specific, you raise your max level by raising your ABI. Your ABI goes up whenever you digivolve or dedigivolve. How much it goes up by depends on what you are changing to (changing to higher tier digimon increases it by more) and how high your level is when you do it (higher levels increase ABI by more, and dedigivolving doubles this particular bonus compared to digivolving).

Thus, to raise your max level, you want to raise your Digimon's current level to a decent amount, then dedigivolve them to increase their ABI, then digivolve them again, at which point their max level will have increased.

Alright, so still better to digivolve them upwards and then revert it down than to bring the to a lower stage and then digivolve them up again?

Besides potentially taking more time, due to needing to level higher to digivolve to higher tiers, yes, going up then down will increase ABI by slightly more than going down then up.

this link contains everything about ABI and how it affects the max level of your digimon.

ABI and MAx level gained per Digivolve or De-digivolve depend in your actual digimon level and if this is rookie champion, etc
you gain more ABI for De-Dedigiolve.
you gain more Max Level cap for Digivolve.
