Also, please check the Windows Event Viewer (evntvwr.exe) for information about the crash. That could help a lot finding the problem.
The information in the event log could help locating the issue, if you're willing to share it.
I was still unable to go into battles and enter into the next screens and as such, I figured I had nothing to lose... So I started "Hackers Memory" and saved onto the same file with my regular and logged into the original file and Boom, I was able to play again.
I guess it was a glitch. No more crashes.
Given that you already checked your driver this is probably caused by a bug in the game itself. Unfortunately the crash log doesn't give further information about what exactly the game tried to do and I wouldn't know how to extract it easily remotely. :/
Does the crash happen consistently, preventing you from proceeding the game?
If you have an integrated GPU on your CPU it might be worth a try with that one to get past that area...
Edit: Seeing the update I'm glad you got it to work. I hope we find the root cause of the bug eventually.
It started when I went into Ch.4 subway area and proceeded downstairs and just after talking to the creepy guy that was following us. I had to go to work, so I saved and exited the game.
After that, I started the game from where I was and tried to go downstairs to go further into the dungeon and as soon as I transitioned, the game crashed. I tried loading the game again and found that I couldn't even enter battles, as they would crash the game too. I tried using the exit gate item to escape the dungeon and was unable to, as it would crash the game too.
I do hope this post helps anyone else that encounters this issue.
I did start a brand new Hacker's memory file at the time, so I don't know if that had anything to do with it.
Now just to be sure... did you go into the hackers memory save file and play it a little and then save the game before heading back to cyber sleuth? If not, try that. I'll keep this thread open as long as people still have this issue.
