Building a perfect Digimon?
Any tips? All I know is to max level them before digivolve and then max level them before de-digivolve. For stats maybe you guys have better tips?

As far as I know there is no difference except in gaining ABI

Building a perfect digimon takes time. Usually you need to figure out what is the main role that your digimon is focusing on. What skills does it need? What stats does it benefit most from? It can be a time sink. But well worth it.
