Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Complete Edition

Is this a good monster capture game?
While i am not much of a digimon fan i do not dislike it either so how is this as a monster collecting/ battling game? It is one of my favorite sub-genres but there are not very many to choose from for pc that i know of.

Legit, for PC right now, it's top of the top. It is a complete edition that has both games part A and part B of the same exact story. There's no sequel, you start with Cyber Sleuth and you keep going with Hacker's Memory. The price is actually very decent for both titles bundled together.

Also, you just explore fixed camera maps and you find Digimon, the more you fight them, the more their scan rates going up, at 100% you can create that Digimon in the DigiLab, at 200% I don't remember specifically but it's the same as the 100% but with something extra more.

Getting Digimon like this is not just that mechanic and over, you can train them, raise them, feed them, literally anything to increase their ABI and CAM in order for them to reach higher levels and unlock more digivolutions.

The story is great, imagine that you are playing basically a Pokemon like game with Persona style and story at the same time, but Digimon has been its own brand for years now and it's legit, has nothing to do with the aforementioned games. The game is jrpg and turn based, you'll see lots of battles and growth and in time you will come down to appreciate and like the game for what it is, from the most simple and cute quest to the most challenging optional one.

That's it.

If you buy it on Steam, you can always refund it if you have less than 2 hours of game time I think

Yeah, like what was stated. The nice thing about Digimon is you just need to encounter the digimon a number of times to get it. No worrying about a "pokeball" or befriending, or anything else like that.

Some of the early pokemon will require 4 or less encounters before you can spawn one for youself.

Also there is the DigiFarm, which you can use to throw in 20-ish digimon onto, and it'll automatically level them up for you while you go about with your team.

The biggest thing to keep in mind though, is you'll want to not just digivolve (evolve) them. You'll also want to de-digivolve them, and return them to younger forms. Because they do have max levels, but you can increase that max by that. And some digivolutions require specific levels.

IE: Want to get my digimon to be a specific type, and it requires level 16, but the max is level 15. So de-digivolve, relevel it, digivolve it again, and now i can get to level 23 max.

And it's not even that hard to level them up for the most part. You can even come across items that'll give you like 10k EXP, which will take a digimon from level 1 to level 22 or something like that.

use the colloseum to level them up fast, but die on purpose in the final round.

Hm. Alternative is Siralim 3, which has far inferior graphics but more interesting mechanics.

I would also recommend Disc Creatures which is like a Pokemon/Digimon mashup game with Gameboy Color style graphics.
