Now to be serious, i think that male looks kinda bland and i don't like his hairstyle and face. So i play as a female, because her hair and face look much nice.


I might play as a male in Hacker's Memory, because i love his eyes ^_^

Hackers memory only got Keisuke. There is no girl. Also, be careful as the game will pronounce the female protagonist as a GUY, because the translation team used google translate only.

Google translate wouldn't have translated 化け物 as "Bakemon".

Reminder that Japanese tend to see excessively masculine traits as homosexual. That especially applies to things like large, well defined muscles. Not a 100% rule, but it tends to explain why male characters look the way they do.

Also the fact that the characters in Japanese media tend to be based on Japanese people.

German Translations seem to be beyond garbage.

According to my friend who is also from Germany, the battlecry for the Halfling Ally turned into "Death to all Halflings" and I just found out recently that in the German dub of Digimon Adventures, they turned Renamon into a dude for some ungodly reason.

Renamon was supposed to be a girl? They never looked like a girl to me. Nor their kyubi or tao digivolutions. Taomon looks incredibly like a guy to me. I thought it only happens because of the Human Fusion.

oh and atleast we didn't get the Garbage digi rap. We got the JP openings and songs dubbed.

Renamon EXPLICITLY stated that Digimon have no sex in the German dub of Tamers, when asked about it. Also no Renamon in Adventure, rofl.
And yeah, we had the epic music intact and the topic of death wasn't dodged until at least Tamers(not sure from Frontier onwards; vividly remember it in Adventure tho, pretty sure it still was in Tamers too), tho those were times when television over here wasn't 90% americanized...
