Is there " die of old age" mechanic in the game?
I hate it.

I played a psp game and Digimon in the game has life span of 15 in game days. Sure they can recanation and inherit skill from old monster but it isn't fun to start over again and again like that. Evole a Digimon to Mega. Next day it die and revert back to a baby. Well that isn't fun.

No thankfully. What a garbage mechanic that was. Not everyone has time to waste starting over and over.

Hmm. That's a funny statement if you're interested in JRPGs. The original Digimon World is actually extremely short if you know what you're doing. Speedruns without any glitches are around an hour long, and pretty much anyone can beat the game in an hour or two if you just read a guide and skip everything you can.

Compared to Digimon Story games which are like 20-30 hours minimum, usually taking double that because people like to grind out different digimon forms.

If you've got time for Digimon Story, you've got waaaay more time than needed to complete Digimon World 1 or Re:Digitize.

don't compare digimon world championship to ANY OTHER DIGIMON GAME. It was fun but lifespans were in that game for a good reason.

I'm not aware of Digimon World Championship being on PSP, only Nintendo DS.

I also personally couldn't get into Championship, despite the fact I've loved almost every Digimon World game.

well, no clue what game hecould possibly mean then, because what OP described is digimon world championship, maybe he got PSP mixed up with DS.

Well, Digimon Re:Digitize was on PSP... but it was never released outside of Japan. It did have a fan patch, though.

Otherwise I dunno what game they meant, either.

No that is only a thing in the Digimon World games. I played these when they came out but have since sold them (something I deeply regret) and I would describe these as being very similar to Pokemon in almost everything except leveling up.

It's been a while but to begin with raising a Digmon to the maximum level of 99 is not possible unless you raise the ABI stat which is done by de-digivolving in the Digi Farm. The higher leveled your Digimon is when you de-digivolve it the more the ABI stat increases so it can take a while if you're willing to put the effort in.

Back to the World games the new one Next Order has vastly improved aging mechanic when compared to the classic PS1 games, particularly Digimon World 1. God that game was so stressful.

Only Digimon World 1 had the aging mechanic with the PS1 games. It's also the shortest and easiest game in that genre for Digimon, but that depends on you knowing what you need to do and what you need to do it. (I agree though, it's stressful when you play it casually.)

Re:Digitize was a reboot of that style of Digimon World game, and improved it a bit. Next Order is building off the back of Re:Digitize.

But those 3 games are the only games I'm aware of that have Digimon Aging. Digimon World Championship might have Aging but I never played it long enough to find out.

But since you mentioned "classic PS1 games", Every single Digimon World game on PS1 was absolutely different from the last. Digimon World 2 was a Dungeon Crawler JRPG like Shin Megami Tensei/Persona, and even had the Demon... I mean Digimon fusion mechanic with DNA digivolving permanently converting 2 Digimon into 1 lower rank Digimon, raising their max level cap, giving them Digivolution Points that unlocked new forms, and passed on stat growths and moves from both digimon.

Digimon World 3 was basically just Final Fantasy, except you only fight with 1 Digimon at a time, and swap them out as they get knocked out or you need to match types/skills.

Both Digimon World 2 and 3 weren't in the same genre as Digimon World 1, and did not have aging mechanics.

Same for Digimon World 4 on PS2/Gamecube, that game was an Action-RPG where you ran around and beat up Digimon with Swords and Axes till you got to level 99 just to be able to evolve past Rookie forms.

Also Digimon World DS and Digimon World Dusk and Dawn were all technically Digimon Story titles, but were renamed Digimon World for the Western Releases. However they are where Cybersleuth's gameplay design started, being nearly identical mechanically, they just lack the 3d Graphics.

it's been years since I played the PS1 games tbh so I've kinda forgotten them. Man Digimon World 4 on PS2 was such a fun game, I sunk so many hours into that game when I was a kid. It's just a shame there wasn't many digimon in it but apart from that I loved it.
