I also can confirm this, I've bought the game from steam rather than fanatical key in order to make a refund, should it have denuvo, but the exe has a really small size.
Will do further testing and report it here.
Me too but it's 31.99€ on Humble Bundle for subscribers and 59.99€ on eshop. Too bad for the portability but it will be pc this time.
Copy-protection/DRM in general has a really bad reputation since it often causes problems for the paying end user, either limiting in how they can use the product they bought or even outright preventing it. Those are issues pirates don't have to deal with since they obviously got rid of the protection layer.
Denovo in particular is said to impact performance to varying degrees and, by it's nature, makes tampering with game files more difficult (e.g. modding).
In short, there are only downsides for consumers.
There are legit reasons why a consumer should be opposed to DRM in the products they bought.
Denuvo can also lock you out of your games that you payed as a consumer because "legally" they have the right to in case they shut down their services. That's one of the biggest bs reasons to be honest and it shouldn't be a thing. Also, denuvo is useless against piracy, so, not only you are paying a full price for something that has a bypassed protection, you are also forced to suck it and pray that they will never shut down their services which, eventually will happen.
