What to do when a line is blocked ?
So, yesterday I was driving a train on the Fiktive_S-Bahn_Ruhrtalbahn_2005_Westhofen.fpn, service S1 1008 Schwerte - Warburg, when I arrived at Westheim (if I recall correctly) after a 2 hours drive. And there it was, an Hp0. So I fast-forward for a few seconds and, after 40 minutes of in-game time, the signal still showed a stop aspect.

Out of curiosity, beign this not the first time a signal got stuck, I overrided the signal with the debugger and moved on. What I found out at the next signal was this scene:

A train stuck at a red light (the one in front of me), waiting for another train stuck at the station. It doens't matter how much time I wait, the line is blocked. The only thing I can do is quit the simulator...
Is there something I can do ? Is this a bug ? I'm just unlucky ?

Overriding a red signal cannot be done for all red lights, i think without 100% safety

Yes, I have had this problem several times aswell. Especially on the Marschbahn. It's probably something in the timetable that's causing the trains to jam up like this. Unfortunately, the only thing that helps is to end the journey. The developers should definitely take a look at this.

You can remove trains from the timetable (meaning they also get despawned if they are currently placed in the world) while you are driving one. I have used this in the past to, with a little bit of luck, remove the train that is causing a jam.

To do so, while in control of your train click "Navigation"->"Anderen Zug Übernehmen" (Something along the lines of "select/control another train" in english localization) select one and click "Zug löschen" ("Delete train").

I have no real rule to find the offending train besides it very likely being one currently stopped. If you have some knowledge of the route and timetable you can also pretty safely say which trains are not the cause (for example a Metronom that goes between Hamburg-Harburg and Lüneburg really shouldn't cause a jam in Celle). You can also disregard trains that haven't spawned yet or have already been despawned.

That's a good idea, didn't know I could do that. Will try it out if it happens again, thanks!

These problems happen sometimes if you are to generous with the chaos factor or coefficient setting. Make sure its not set too high otherwise these deadlocks will occur.
