I have been playing a bit for the first time in like 3 years. I was surprised to see that you can skip taking a modifier after each year of director mode. I skipped the first one thinking that skip would only be available one time, but it's always available apparently. I'm playing on lunatic difficulty, but without being forced to take a modifier, i could easily keep this run going forever. I could grind out all of the different clubs and promote my character to level 600. on the wiki it says director m...

It's weird enough that I have to keep rerolling my character until I get what I want when starting a new campaign, given that this doesn't add any value to the game or even make it any different (except slightly more tedious) than letting me select directly, but at least it never takes more than a couple tries to roll a female big game hunter or anthropologist or anything. It looks like the shennong herbalist is bugged tho, it won't give me a female character no matter how many times I "regenerate"....
