Bugged museum exhibit??

Says I need 1 more exhibit in west wing and in central exhibition.

I have every single statue / head in west wing.
The band has all their instruments.
That one painting is back in its place.
I've also removed every single one and placed them back.
None are missing..

Same with outside in central, everything is placed (and re-placed) where they should be.
(Yes also the fire extinguisher)

Q button really needs to add something for this, even if it's an upgrade, it's frustrating walking around for hours not finding anything.

Anyone know what it could be..? It just says "Find misplaced exhibits 1" in both places

It means there may be an item/statue to collect in that general area for another location, I too got stuck on this confusion, where it stated <find 1 misplaced exhibit>, poorly worded by the way, but I just found an item in said location to place somewhere else in a different area, there are multiple placements in different areas for such statues/items, so just find the item in the area then find where to place them

its def has a lot of bugs my controls are wonky now was walking all backwards changed the invertered y axis in setting and it fixed but now when i pick up stuff they are upside down?? i can't get a water bucket cause it instantly flips it upside down I don't know what is going on it was working great now i can play it so frustrating

what i could think of is that a painting is not in the correct location: be sure they all have the same frame type corresponding to the rest in that location and the highlight of items have to be green, when you place them, otherwise it's not in the correct place.
Check those white consoles in the main area in the center, I think there was a wrong item on one of them.
Since you already replaced everything you should have found it by now, because you would have noticed the item ghost highlight in red when you lifted it.

Ran everywhere once more checking if I missed any item anywhere. I can't find anything.

Probably just have to restart the level. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that is so frustrating.

My god man I finally found it.

It was a the pink rabbit painting needing to go into the west wing room outside the band area. I had another painting in that spot.

The game doesn'tcare what painting is there normally, "move the furniture back to its place" goes away if you put ANY painting in, even if it's the wrong one.

I just noticed it because it was smaller than the others -_-!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This mission took me 3 and a half hours, half of which was walking around looking for 2 misplaced exhibits that were paintings in the others place (one of which was the pink rabbit). I wrongly assumed that the space would not accept an incorrect item, as I don’t recall it ever doing that in the past. Oh well. Good call.

If theres a item that got stuck inside the wall use the respawn character button in the pause menu, its will respawn the items that are not positioned , you will not lose progress only affect items that are not positioned... Its worked with me that stuck a painting inside the wall...
