I didn't actually read the description of the game properly
And I thought you were like working for the cops to clean up after they were finished with a crime scene. I was like "Okay that sounds like a gruesome thing, like a less funny version of Viscera Cleanup Detail"

Does the first mission. Cleans up after a serial killer (to be fair, my guy didn't know . Welp, was not expecting that.

Before people ready to attack me in the comments, this is posted more for the humorous value of not knowing what I was getting into than a criticism of the game, so cool your jets. Its actually way more interesting this way and I feel kinda sorry for the guy I am playing as it seems like he is in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ sitch.

few lvls have some nice story. the insight/clues to some of the crime scenes are funny and sad giving it a little bit more of a story. i see where you could think that way. there next game or dlc might be that way were you play as a cop and have to find evidence take pic of the crime scene. tag the body on who they are how they die high ect... find clue on who kill them ect... at the end you need to clean the scene.

My "was not expecting that" moment was the upstairs bathroom in Toxic Love. Ooof. Like a punch to the gut.

It's ok to expect wrong. But the game is really about cleaner for criminals, like in TV series like The Blacklist.

Like Mr Wolf from Pulp Fiction. Only waaaay more reluctant.

Mike from Breaking Bad is also a classic example of a cleaner, first time you see him is when he helps Jessie clean up the house he's staying at with the girl.

Ooh I remember that ep. Yeah he's another one. I hadnt actually thought about it too much but its a bit of a trope with TV and movies.

I think the game making this guy reluctant helps it. I mean you can kinda feel for him getting stuck in this scene. Yeah i mean the whole sick daughter thing is not subtle or anything, but given these games need very little story if the gameplay is solid, the premise is good for what it is. Also he makes some pretty dry observations as he goes about his work too that give you a bit of character insight. Im digging it.

Yeah totally, there is another game on Steam I have wishlisted called Crime Scene investigator where you do forensics on a crime scene. That and one where you are the cops cleaner would make a great tag team.

I love Powerwash sim, there is something inherently satisfying in cleaning up a filthy space, Crime Scene Cleaner hits that same moreish vibe, but with a much less whimsical tone. its a nice change of pace considering I have solved Powerwash Sim twice in flatscreen and and now working through it in VR.
