Museum mission - East Wing 98% blood

So i have been over everything multiple times with the pressure washer, scanned the room for about an hour. Is this one of those horrible bugs where i might have pushed something back in place and now i can not clean the dirt? There is only the red and yellow room so not much surface area to look at. Just wondering if anybody else has had issues in here.

I will also note this is a continued save as i went around found all the bodies, put items back in place then did the 2 secrets rooms first before starting my deep clean so I am about 2 hours in on this one mission and i do not want to leave without 100% as coming back to do all this again is going to be painful.

The Answer (As i can not mark my own post as the answer):

Every item needs cleaning before you take them out of the location where they started and before you put them in their final place. So the dirt in a room does not update when you take something out of it, instead that rooms dirt goes wherever you dump the item you have taken out meaning you could have a 100% clean room with a dirty item in it.

is it the yellow room area? maybe upper ladder part?

or something thats already hanging in the red room? alot of the aready hanging furniture in that rooms is dirty, so you also have to look from above.

you could also finish the level and check if its maybe just bugged, aslong as you alt+f4 before confirming the secret tab that rewards exp, you will respawn right before finishing with no lost progress

It could be that you may have spilled the blood in the water bucket someplace else other than East Wing. This was a bug that happened to me during beta, and I don't know if it is still there.

I had been up the ladder and cleaned that too with the pressure washer. Figured it might have been something on the bed but nope. I have been everywhere like 10 times and powerwashed everything that was hanging to the floor. There is zero trace of blood, i just wish it had a feature like powerwash simulator where you can see what item/wall needs cleaning so you can easily see if its a bugged out or not. Anyhow, still enjoying the game just dont want to go back and redo the map as it is so much stuff in here.

I am using the pressure washer, not a bucket. So that one can not be a thing here.

try the mop.
the powerwasher is janky and misses alot of stuff, like everything thats not directly visible from the angle you shot.
try near the furniture of the yellow room and be sure to look from above on the redroom stuff, maybe its the

if you didnt use the robothelper yet, maybe he shows you where the dirt is with the weird lines it does while cleansing the spots

i just tried it and cleaned without moving anything, the yellow room is 57% blood and the red one 43%
if you really sure its not a handprint or so ontop of the furniture in the red room, i guess rip

Yeh, i think this is a rip. I am very skilled in getting in places to see from above and there is nothing. I will go back over everything with a mop but this is just draining me now cause i want to 100% before i leave but would love to know where this last bit is.

Just an update, it looks like this might be a bug. I have just ran back in to some of the rooms i cleared earlier and they all say 98% weirdly enough.

Same thing happened to me in the Cafeteria. 98% blood but everything is spotless.

I can tell you what it is now though. So when you collect the items and take them out of the room without cleaning them, their dirt is still counted for the original room. For example, there is a guitar behind the counter in the cafeteria section, if you do not clean it before taking it out, it will not update until you clean it later.

just having these 99% clean when spilled over the dirty waterbucket.
then 1 stain stuck in the wall or ground, not able to see even with cleanersense.

I had the exact same situation, word for word, and can confirm it was the guitar that i tossed towards the music room that needed to be washed before the cafeteria counted as cleaned

I'm posting almost a year old, but I have an answer.
Sometimes it says 99% blood cleaned when it's 100% cleaned. I don't know why, I think its just a tooltip bug.
It could be the same with 98% but I haven't had that happen to me personally.

No, i did find the answer. I will update my original post. It is because the items need cleaning before you take them out of a room and put them in their place. So the dirt of a room doesnt update when you take something out of it, instead that rooms dirt goes wherever you dump the item you have taken out.
