smooth operator acheviment

this acheviment is bugged i have done it on 4 different mission
it hasn,t droped for me yet
Devs please look at the acheviment and fix it
i used the spunge and mop on the last run and never got it so
im guesisng it is bugged,

It's not about using the sponge and mop, it's about not breaking things or leaving a new stain. Did you spill the bloody mop bucket? Knock over a breakable with the mop? Walk through the blood and leave footprints? Over use your mop or sponge and make a bloody smear?

No i broke nothing in all 4 maps
never spilt the bucket either so im a little confused on why i want pop.
i will give it 2 more turn if i don,t get it then my bad luck i surpose
i will just uninstall it,
thanks for replying but i know that no stains and broken item stuff it up im maxed all items so this is a pain to get.

Hmmm...maybe it is bugged for you. For what it's worth, I got it on the Friendly Fire mission.

The easiest mission to complete it with is toxic love. With the perks that prevents you from creating stains with the mop and your feet, go and pick the body up hanging over the ledge. The body very slowly drips blood down (idk if it counts as you making the stain or not, best not to test it), so picking it up and throwing into cart prevents new stains, and then i move the second body into bin, clean blood off the console with sponge for the lockdown, and then remove the lockdown. Then, i get to work moving anything that can be broken if the mop touches it (on the counters/table/wall behind the table, you can use sponges to clean as they wont move the bottles/glasses and thus wont break). Then, I pick up all trash. This allows me to keep tabs on if i make trash or not. Then finally, I do the last room. By being extremely careful, you can easily complete the mission and get the achievement.

It may not proc if you move something that was already set (like one of the chairs after placing it). Some places the achievement cant proc, like short circuit and probably modern art. (stains and trash appear even if you had 100% done, and moving objects can make stains which i think counts against you). I wouldnt be surprised if the first two missions cant have the achievement proc (first one because of the attic, second because smoke? idk, never had it work there for me, but i am very clumsy with the mop so maybe i hit something and didnt know)

Even it's a paine don't use the mop. So you prevent breaking stuff with it.

After playing the full game, i think there might only be two stages you can actually do Smooth Operator on: Trial by Blood, and Toxic Love. In every other stage, you HAVE to break something to be able to throw it away. And even though its highlighted green, it does count against your trash % once you break it (which i think is how the game determines if you broke something or not, same with stain spreading). I tested on one of the levels with forced breakables by gathering all of the other trash before breaking the green object that couldnt be trashed without breaking down. The percent went from 98% down to 95%. Since it 'generates' trash, i dont think its possible on any stages but ones without mandatory breaking.

Me personally I completed this achievement in Bad Call, but you CANNOT break the blood paintings in the attic. I tried so many times and was so confused why I still wasn't getting the achievement despite not breaking a single other thing. But I just had to sacrifice getting a perfect score. Do that mission, make sure you break nothing, you just gotta completely ignore the paintings and you should be good!!

I got "Another One Bites the Dust", "Friendly Fire" (the perfect completion of the mission 'chieve), and "Smooth Operator" at the exact same time on the same day - so I for sure got "Smooth Operator" during Friendly Fire.

Just had this trouble, did the whole mission flawless but I didnt remove the dripping body first - I think it counts as a 'new stain' because i didnt get the achievement!! Am redoing it now lol
