3 detergents in one bucket

Is it just my game that wont add more than 1 of the same detergent to the bucket?
I even have the "10% bonus to the 3x the same detergent" thing

but that would be 3 different detergents right?

then i'd need the alchemist bonus for that. but that's not what i want.
i want to use the clean mind perk but it won't let me. because i can't add more than 1 of one type of soap to the bucket.

If you're going for that perk, you DON'T need to use the upgrades that give additional slots to the bucket in the first place.

Pretty sure you can swap slots out so long as they equal the same number of points you spent.

yes, i know.
but again, the clean mind (10% bonus on 3x the same detergent) does not allow me to stack the same detergent in one bucket even though i have 3 slots for detergents.

When i try adding a detergent that's already in the bucket it just shakes the bottle but adds no soap.

However, when using the alchemist perk i can add 3x the same type of detergent, but that should only give me a 25% bonus if there are 3 unique detergents in the bucket.

So is the clean mind unusable or are the clean mind and alchemist perks swapped or something?
thats all im asking, not about workarounds or for other ways to play.
