Number of players in split screen screen?

Where are they stored so I can backup my progress (and maybe controls config?) Nothing in the steam or windows user folders, and don't want to start from scratch if something happens. Surely it's not stored in the registry or i may have to use a debugger to find out where....

The input mapping in the startup window doesn't register any controller buttons or joystick movement but the controller works fine in game. Is there a trick I'm missing or is there a config file for inputs. Other than that thanks for all the work you've put into this. It's a unique blend of scifi and drone racing and I've been enjoying the game....
