Forgetting cards losing card slots
It seems that if you use the forget feature to remove a particular character card from your deck, that card's slot is also removed, meaning that you can't pick up a new card on future level ups.

So if you start off with 6 character cards, then remove 1, you can never have more than 5 character cards, regardless of level. Is this intended?

I think so, I assume its for players yearning for a more streamlined deck and want to rely more on equipment. Not my playstyle.

Yeah it would be intended.

Like most deckbuilding games, the first priority is to remove your basic deck of cards, and more reliably build combos around the items you equip and left over cards in your deck, which are more powerful (upgraded items, legendary artifacts, existing upgraded cards)

That being said, given that drawing bad cards isn't the worst thing in this game (due to redraws, and the fact that some cards end up being resources), i don't find it nearly as essential as say, Slay the Spire or Monster Train, where removing your starter deck is the name of the game.

i currently haven't removed cards much at all, i'm sticking with replacing all basic cards for now (you won't replace them all until 9 levels/mystic herbs combined), but i'll imagine i will eventually remove slots, particularly for higher difficulty shorter scenarios.

Removing cards is really odd given that you can simply replace a card on level up and that you have to use a herb for it. Unlike most deckbuilders here it gives you only a very slight to no advantage.

Its not odd, its an option. There are reasons why you want to do this. If you do not want to do it then don't? Are you guy's srs suggesting that it should not be in the game? What if you been fitting out one of the characters, have replaced a good part of its class cards and have several items that also has included a better type of movement cards but with how rng played out, you did not replace the old ones. You have too many movement cards at this point. You could say remove the card from the item but that would be retarded as its better then basic plus its far more easy to upgrade items as a whole then on class card.

Just removing that one card can have a huge impact on how effective that deck can be in longer tough fights.
