Game is broken on Gamepass
Using your gamepad sometimes makes you run-in-place and when you try to carry stuff your character gets stuck in place and only spamming all your buttons sometimes seem to help. It's fun to play. I can't even use mouse and keyboard because you can't control the camera with the mouse. This is like basic pc-gaming inputs yet it's not here... I do not recommend this game. There are some people on this forum with the same problem and no devs has responded with anything helpful.

I've been playing the Gamepass version, and have the same problem. It happens with both keyboard and gamepad. The most reliable way to start moving is by pushing the dash button.

I've contacted tech support and given them all the information that they requested, but they swear up and down that they can't replicate the issue.

I'm the one replying to the support email and I confirm that so far we haven't been able to reproduce the problem.

I had issues with the Steam version myself and it got sorted out by calibrating my XBox compatible controller and enabling the XBox Controller configuration support both for Steam and for NSLT - despite my controller being a cheap compatible one and not a real XBox one. That workaround sorted the problem out for both SLT and NSLT.

On the other hand, the version I have on the Windows Store worked fine out of the box both with SLT and NSLT, with exactly the same cheap XBox-compatible controller.

The only way to try and help the developers find a solution is still getting in touch with support@playfulstudios.com to provide logs and specs - that will hopefully help them find the commonalities between the various cases and sort the problem out.

I had literally only three players getting in touch with the support email about the movement glitch on the Game Pass version, and only two of those provided the data I asked for to try and help the developers sort the problems out.

I'm having the same issue while using both an Xbox 1 controller or the KB. I tried calibrating my controller but no luck.

I was having the same issue: I'm on game pass with an xbox one controller and, all of a sudden, I was stuck in place. Worth noticing that I beat half the game and had no issues whatsoever. I was able to fix the problem by changing the game's resolution, though (!!!). After I did, game runs perfectly fine...

Tyvm, changing my resolution fixed the issue. It is a bummer that I can't use my native resolution but at least I can play it now.

Thank you Azrael for pointing that resolution workaround out and thank you Viz for reporting back about the workaround working for you as well.

I'm forwarding the information to the players that got in touch with the support address and of course, also pointing it out to the developers, hopefully this will help nailing the issue down to be patched.

Additionally, I received a report from a player that sorted the "stuck" problem on the Game Pass version by changing the V-Sync option from "Fast" to "On" in their NVidia control panel - the game itself has a V-Sync option that may be worth trying enabling (or disabling, in case it's enabled) and different GPU brands may have similar managers allowing access to such settings.

I'm glad it worked for other people who were having the same issue! Hopefully, the devs can pinpoint the problem and fix it.

In my case, changing the resolution to whatever and then switching back to native, also worked. Don't know if it'll work for you but it's worth giving it a shot...

For what it's worth, I'm playing on 2560x1440 full screen on Gamepass through the Xbox app using a wired 360 gamepad. I had the issue until I switched to 1920x1080, switched to windowed mode, then switched back to 2560x1440. The issue recurred if I switched back to full screen though.

this fixed it for me, although mine was set to 'off'. guess the game needs vsync? weird

The solution I found was to go to the properties of the game on steam -> controller -> enable steam input. I hope it helps.

I really wish this issue would have been addressed by the developers. It's been a problem since the first version of the game. And I still can't use the rumble feature because if I do it never stops once it's triggered once. The Lucky's Tale games are the ONLY ones with those kind of problems in my library (which is a shame since those are a lot of fun).
