Having trouble carry things
For some reason on the 1st level in Sky Castle when I grab an item to carry, like the head of a golem my character can't move it can only turn around nothing else. When I let go and grab it, I might get luck and I am able to move.

How do I solve this problem?

When I am able to move and stop walking, then the character can't move again while holding the item.

Actually normally I am only able to move when I try to dig while holding a item on a ground that can dig.

Hello there supermichael7, there have been a few reports about this issue but it seems to be a corner case only affecting certain installations, and it's not even fully clear whether it's tied to the controller or not.

In my case, for example, my XBox compatible controller happens to be glitchy on both SLT and NSLT on Steam (it feels like the diagonals aren't properly "read" by the game and Lucky stutters failing to move in a fluid and reliable manner). With keyboard input on Steam, all good, I can play fine.

I tried both SLT and NSLT on the very same computer and controller, this time though with the Windows Store version, and there my controller is read properly by the game, no problem at all.

Please see if you still have the problem with the keyboard instead of with the controller (we had another specific report about the issue not being tied to the controller and Lucky unable to move, but in that case, it happens also when _not_ carrying any object).

It would also be very useful if you could get in touch with support@playfulstudios.com - I reply there and I will send you details about the files and data needed to be forwarded to the developers.

On a bright note, just because I happen to have mentioned that - I just managed to sort out my own controller issue on Steam making sure that I had XBox Configuration Support enabled (both in the Steam Controller Settings and in the New Super Lucky's Tale properties settings).

Probably also calibrating the controller helped, but I can't be totally sure of what really did the trick - what I know for sure is that if I disable the XBox Configuration Support the issue comes back exactly as it was before.

Not sure if it may help in the specific case of this very thread, but I thought it worth mentioning.

I tried to calibrate my controller and that seems to have helped, it isn't 100% perfect it was good enough to allow me to play properly.

I'm glad that the calibration helped, thanks a lot for the feedback!

I'm having the same issue with the Windows Store version using a Xbox 1 controller.

Could you verify whether calibrating the controller or completely unplugging it and restarting the game makes any difference?

If the issue persists controlling the character with only the keyboard the issue in your case may not be tied to the controller.

I was able to solve the problem by limiting the frame rate to 200 fps (from 237)

How did you limit your framerate? Can't find it in the settings. Also what controller and platform are you on?

This worked for me too. It's not something you do in the game, but in the driver settings of your gpu.

Yeah it gets fixed by limiting the FPS to 200, lol. I did it in the Nvidia panel
Worked like a charm! Thank you.
