German Localization: "Begleit-" ??

AFAIK, the "Begleit-" prefix for German units was only for the Führer Begleit Battalion (later division - Wiki). I'm seeing it in the 78. Division though.

I'm not familiar with this term otherwise. Is this right?

I don't get these weird names either. Here is a list of all their regiments / battalions: http://lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/Gliederungen/Infanteriedivisionen/78ID.htm . There are no grenadiers listed. Maybe they are mixed in from a different division and hence are called Begleit=escort? Only Eugen knows.

Some of those should probably be double-checked (though I did see a name change to "Grenadier-" on the link for Infanterie-Regiment 195. FYI.)

The Begleits were tank riding infantry who deployed on the rear deck of the StuG IV. The word means escort.

Also what tankodesantniki means iirc, tank riding infantry, tthy should come with StuGs and T34 respectively as transport options but something blocked Eugen in developement so they come as normal infantry instead

FYI, that was the 1939 lineup - as we are playing Operation Bagration the 1943 lineup is the one that matters:) It's the Sturmregiment 195 so ingame the units should be called Sturmgrenadier IMHO.

Saw the "Sturmgrenadiere" as well in the Wehrmacht lexicon.
