Solved... defective graphics card rtx 2080
Hello
I have today tried 3 times to run steel divison 2 beta.
the first 2 times i only managed to insert troops and then my computer freeze
The last time I could play for 2 minutes and then the computer freeze..
I played on Ultra graphics settings every time.

Well the freezing of the game is annoying but not the real problem..
The problem is everytime it trigger an hardware code 43 and then the rtx 2080 stop to work and
purple pixels become visible on the screen, both before bios, after loading windows and while using windows and graphics card act as its broken.. Its an absolute nightmare

I am sorry to say so but this bug is so extremly serious that you cannot release the game before this is fixed since its going to have very serious problems for people with a rtx 2080 cards.
Once the bug happen the graphics card goes into what i will call a kind of "error protetion" mode and all you can do is surf the net, and windows see it as a simple intel card.. i think its a kind of fail safe system where you use a std intel-windows driver.
I like to say i tested the graphics card in xplane 11 and dcs world before i started steel division 2 beta and it worked fantastic.. then i start steel division and 2 mintues later it crash the nvidia driver and result in hardware code 43
https://www.drivethelife.com/windows-10/fix-error-code-43-windows-10.html
Once the error happen then nvidia drivers and other related drivers stop working and that is why my dxdiag look like things are missing and such.

I have Gainward phonix GS rtx 2080 card
Ryzen 7 2700X 8 cores 16 threats cpu
16gb ddr 4 ram ( first i run at 3800mhz then std lower 2400 mhz both times computer crash )
windows 10.

2550x1440 143mhz curved Agon AG322QWG4 screen.

Youtube video of what my hardware problem look like after the game crash

I have today taken me more than 7 houres fixing bug graphics card bug number 43 and its really difficult. I took appart my computer looking for faulty connection and loose wires but everything was okay.... it all have something to do with nvidia driver software i think.

I know there are many guyes about just uninstall driver and install it again, but problem is graphics card bug number 43 do not always allow you to do this and even if you power off your computer for 5 minutes and removing drivers then there are 0 gurantee your graphics card will recover and work again.. it can take many houres of trial and error and serious frustration and people who RMA their cards ect ect.

I will try and upload a new dxdiag when/if i make my graphics card work again

I have been testing it a bit with stress test and found the reason.

It crash every time at 58-61 degree
So yes i think its a hardware fault it should be able to run perfect and fullpower below 80 and turn it self off at 100-110.
Reason why i did not experience crashes in other games are they do not make my card that hot.

So i think i have a hardware heating issue and the card is broken.

Glad you found the issue.

After reading your DXdiags and the errors you've experienced, it had to be something hardware.

It also seems a common fault with certain RTX2080 cards by certain manufacturers.

Hope you can get a replacement.

Very long story short I have been able to recover my graphic card from error 43 where windows are saying that the hardware is not working properbly.
Very long story short i tried all guides on the net and +10 houres later i made the card work again...

The last thing i did was
1). turn off computer
2). remove GPU rtx 2080 from the PCIE slot... do not remove power cables
3). turn on computer and let bios figure out there are no gpu in the computer ( wait 3 minutes )
4). turn off computer
5) instert gpu graphics card in pcie slot again.
6) restart computer... if you are lucky the purple dots on the screen have now dissapeared and your graphics card is working 100% again.
I have just tested it in xplane 11 and dcs world and its working.... HOWEVER i know from experience and my 3 tried that if i startup and play steel division 2 then it take 2 minutes and it freeze my computer and then i have the fault 43 again where windows say the graphics card is not working...

This is my motherboard
https://www.asus.com/dk/Motherboards/ROG-CROSSHAIR-VI-HERO/HelpDesk_Download/

Bios version 6808 2019.03.15

PS... this bug also effected the bios of my computer. Bios was unable to read any USB pen, so technical speaking i could not revert bios or repair bios ( other than from windows ).
But the fysical usb speical update port stopped working and as said bios would not read any usb pens anymore.

Just saying this bug is VERY bad and it will create a huge amount of problems for players if their hardware break down like this and many will never be able to fix it them self and many 2080rtx cards will be send back as RMA and well bad commercial for the game and the developers.

I have more than +400 games on steam and other games, steel division 2 beta is the only game that I have problems with.

here is the new dxdiag report... now the computer is working..
If you compare it to the dxdiag in my above post then you see there is a big difference.

Delle(DK) this sounds more like a hardware issue than something Steel Division 2 could be causing, especially if its affecting the Bios.

From the symptoms you've described it sounds like either
1. A defective RTX2080
2. A bad GFX driver install
3. A system hardware fault (e.g. bad stick of RAM)

From looking at your dxdiag reports something is definitely wrong, as if you're running the same hardware they reports should be the same.
