I played the game and every other achievement worked, so obviously I've played the game but for whatever reason the game beginning achievement never triggered

When i load up the game all i see is the title screen and background, im still able to click the buttons on the main menu but they're invisible

Is there a way to make this game play in fullscreen mode? EDIT: So I think I discovered a big bug in my game. I clicked randomly on the title screen and discovered that I came across the options menu. I think I'm missing viewable buttons on the title screen.
