look I give up , this game is killing my time by wasting it
You added way too many one-shot game overs, way too many " you didn't see that coming HAHAH you're dead, now repeat the last 5 minutes over and over until you get it RIGHT hahahaha "
that's not good game design.
I have been struggling to advance int his game, you get tricked into killing yourself to hazards you never knew existed, you never know where you're supposed to go ( surte, tell me to go to sleepiong chambers, I built that facility, so I know excatly where it is )

lead p[layers with footprints to the solution - okay
literal next screen, use same footprints to lead the player to their death, and then make them repeat unskippable cutscenes and dialogue as well.

Iwanna know who's idea it was to make you get so many game overs, even when YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING.

I am at the part where the faceless one is destroying mannaquins with masks on , it says " i can use these to scare him, okay - so i place them on the statues things, and he destroys them, but i have no idea when or where he's appearing next, and often times I'm grabbing a mask from the only 3 boxes in the ENTIRE room with them ( really, there's boxes everywhere, but I can only grab from THREE!?)
SO then I die about 10 times to this nonsense, I click that ? in the corner of death screen ( place the mask on him too )
okay, so is this a boss fight of sorts? I place a mask on a thing, and then wait for him to attack iot, and place it on him? okay, gotcha. Only, the 3rd time I go to do this, he kills me before I can even grab mask to place on a statue, nevermind grabbing TWO , one for him and statue .
So then i decided Im gonna place as many masks on them as I can asap, and then hope I find the ones he decides to attack,m wouldn't you know he attacks every wingle one I can't see or rwach, and then i get killed again.
I get killed, died, game over, re-watch that cutscene, repeat dialogue, try to figure what im supposed to freakin do - nah, just die and waste more and more time.


if you wanna tell em how to play your game, that owuld be great - whoever designed these instant death annoyanc4es doesn't value the player's time.
you are giving unclear objectives with spotty mouse detection for using and picking up items, the inventory is bugging out where the game doesn't pause, so if you can't slot that life in time, you're dead withouth realizing why - or any other myriad of reasons why the game should be pause in inventory, or why you should be able to grab FEW M<ASKS ans place them in your inventory.

y'all sent me a key for this, and if I upload what I played so far wiothouth editing a TON out, nobody is gonna wanna play this game, it's a chore and it hates the player's time. the worst thing you can do in a horror game is leave the player to figure EVERYTHING on their own while also dealing instant game-overs ( that they also have no clue about , how to stop, or why it happens )


get back ot me if you want, i'm done trying to play this game until it's more clear what you're even doing 99% of the time.

if I only needed one key for the core room, then why did I find a room that has abox that says it needs THREE keys?
why does the cameras SOMETIMES alert the guards when you arent taking life off?
why are guards even going ANYWHERE when literally the room before this ALL GUARDS WERE SENT TO THE SLEEPING CHAMBERS.
= -= can u see why this is frustrating?
and half of your cameras face a bloody wall, and activate inside the room they're pointed at, this aint intentional, and I'm sure this is a mistake - it made me think I could ignore cameras, NAH !
just die some more, waste another hour to make 4 minutes of progress.

needs a button to speed up dialogues, it goes letter by letter forever

I want to thank you for at least checking the game out :) I've read through you feedback, and I'll be making what changes I can. I'll especially be looking into improving the cameras. They're a pretty new addition, so I'm sure they could use some adjustments.

thanks ~ sorry if I got off pretty ranty, I deleted a few other posts I made as well :/
I wanna get into it and like it, there's a lot to enjoy - but the gameplay mechanics are too unforgiving to be enjoyable atm

Sharing some updates we've finished today on this topic,
  • In the daily chamber, a pop up will remind you that you can sprint.
  • Before going out at night to explore, the Lost Child tells you that you can unequip your life to bypass the cameras, and that if they see you for too long, you'll be taken away.
  • When you enter the "boss level", rather than the player character saying anything, the Lost Child informs you that the faceless hates that masks and that you should put them on him
Additionally, we have sped up some of the typing, we will look into this a bit more as the game is still in private beta. If you would like to join the discord, we would love additional input and hopefully work on making sure this game is enjoyable to whomever would like to endeavor.

I was observing this game and looking through the topics randomly and just wanna say: A huge thank you to the developers for having professional responses and being nice and understanding after a long rant like that which I'm sure ruffled some feathers a bit. lol I hope your head keeps up if you get more negative critiques and you keep pushing your game forward and improving! =D

I was playing a pre-release build, the fact you made it dying once is a testament to the devs balancing things in the intro.
