Sidescroller with platforming like Valkyrie Profile?

Was wondering if there are platforming elements like an actual jump. Not a jump that goes from tile to tile, but an actual jump like in Mario. Would be nice to make maps from a sideview perspective like Valkyrie Profile, but going left and right won't be as interesting if you can't jump and stuff.

Not sure what exactly do you mean, but while creating project you can choose "sidescroller view" for camera, also there is movement with jumping system (and gravity), so I think the answer is yes.

I was testing the jumping out earlier, 'cos i was thinking the same thing but not for a VP game. As mike says, the jumping is available and certainly has gravity features, so using floating platforms, even moving platforms is possible, so yeah.. think side-scrolling platform games is very possible in Bakin with a bit of skill.
