has anyone found a more effective or entertaining method to defend their front door than a vacuum pump behind a heavy door? yeah you have to put astronaut helmets on all your employees that may go to the entrance but its just so satisfying to see the intruders run up to a door beat on it, then pop goes their heads. i got the idea when my cleaners ran into my meth lab, but yeah its fun and all it takes is a vacuum pump, a heavy door or two, and a regular front door. if you have enough space after the pump you don't even need an airlock. since you aren't forced to stop when the police request pops up, you can just take the pump out when there is no threat to reduce your costs, then just pop it in and click reject the demand.

so like i say has anyone found a more fun or effective method to defend? i tried the traps but they were just tedious to remove for new employees to not get caught in, guards just eat up employee spots and aren't otherwise useful that i've found.

I go with the cheap route 2x3 corridor connected to a 2x3 store room x6 and place the front door in the back of the base they rarely ever get half way threw the doors before they leave i also noticed adding in those out side walls in random places helps alot they like to go and shoot them so they will walk away from your base just to go soot some tin walls off in the grass

I just have 1 entry door and store the door before they get there. They will leave after sometime. Been awhile tho idk if they fixed it.

3x3 squares of Corridor and Grow room with the most armored doors. Vacuum pump in each chamber. 1 Airlock door on the last chamber connected to your factory. Set to 0 for daily use. Crank them up to max when invaded. Also that's a front entrance, my garages are sealed off so delivery loading staff don't constantly go out that way.
