Controller problem in Demo

I'm using an Xbox series X wireless controller with the demo of this game and the controller stops working intermittently and then comes back. I haven't seen this behaviour in any other games so I'm assuming it is a problem with the controller handling. I have not been able to figure out what triggers it but it started happening around the time I met the "scared" npc and when it happens the controls cut out for maybe 30 seconds.

Otherwise I had fun with the demo though the controls feel a little stiff as yet. I enjoyed the feel of an elegant 2D shooter combined with a platform game.

Same here, can not get my controller to work at all.


EDIT: I finally got it to work, but I had to map the keyboard keys to my controller "w,a,s,d" to the directional pad and other keys using a screenshot of the controller layout. - kind of jank but it worked.

We are runing some test on the latest patch, hope we can recreate this bug and ping what went wrong.
