Way to screw it up, Inti.
Sweet find, thanks!
Also I started game with Big Picture. It said game doesn't support my device, but it worked anyway.
I'm using a Wii (original) Classic Pro with an adaptor.
1: Right click the game in steam's UI.
2: Properties
3: Controller
4: Select Dropdown Box
5: Disable Steam Input
I'll be interested to see if this fixes the issue for others as well.
I use a Wii U Pro Controller with WiinUSoft emulating it as an XBox 360 Controller but no results here, no matter which settings I changed on either Steam or that program.
I could use Keystick but it's a bummer because it doesn't feels as good when using the D-Pad.
UPDATE: Keystick or other software was not necessary as Steam itself has a built-in keyboard emulator which you can use with the controller.
Just go the "Controller" tab in the library page of BMZ2 and set up some keyboard letters. When you run the game, set them up with them.
