On a RTX 2080.
It runs slower than on Switch it seems.
You know something is an awful port if it runs worse than anything on Switch
Yup, my RTX 2080 basically ran in Idle mode at 500mhz and 3% load and the game was choppy.
After setting it to max performance it runs in 1900mhz, the load is still just 5% but at least its now 30 FPS stable.
The card is literally too strong for the game in standard settings.
Not possible since the engine is tied to the framerate. If you would go 60 FPS the game would play in 2x speed.
For The PSXe fans among us, setting FPS higher than 30 (30fps is the framerate used on old TV's and movies, since human sight can process 30-32 true FPS) for PSX games on an emulator, (imho PSX games where meant to be played on an CRT TV) it adds up on total gamespeed as Ogami tells here indeed.
I do know because i (ab)used >30FPS settings on PSXe for grinds on Breath of Fire 3 and -4 runs. Saved me a lot of time >^.^<
That is probably also the reason the devs here just cap out at 30FPS, since the game was made for 30FPS and thus higher rates just won't add up smoothness wise.

But that is just me...
