Developers, please can you make us a patch to put the floor of the city of Parms back in the right direction?.
Please can you can you solve the problem of soil texture in the city of Parm. (To get the rendering of the saturn version with properly aligned streets).

Psx and remaster = Upside down (from 8:54) :

Saturn = At the right place (from 6:39) :

I really like Grandia very much and I would really like to have a port worthy of the name, so it's more of a cry for help than a reprimand.

I hope that if a developer reads this he will leave a little message, and that a patch will be proposed to solve this problem. :)
Thx a lot.

This kind of anomaly couldn't be patched on old gen consoles, but in a remaster it definitely deserves to be fixed.
I don't think rotating a texture is taking many effort or time.

AFAIK the way the floor textures were done on the Saturn version couldn't be replicated on the PSX when they ported it, so on the PSX it is just a tiled smaller texture. But they should fix it for the remaster.

GungHo is aware of all the issues, there was a pretty comprehensive list of bugs and suggestions made on reddit and GungHo said they know about the thread. If they fix it though... is another story. I hope they will.

Here it is:

I thank you for your contributions and for the information. I will check out the GungHo forums to find out more about it.

The floor textures are one of the biggest issues I hope they're able to fix alongside providing an option for unfiltered sprites. Because the town's layout looks like a giant mess in the PS1 version and makes the town more confusing than it needs to be

This will be the same as the version that already released on the Switch a few weeks ago.
So there is no option to turn off the sprite filtering and they use the PsOne assets.
Maybe modders will fix it down the line.

Honestly though, those textures in Parm are imo the least important aspect in this remaster. I'm hoping they fixed the audio issues, like cutting sound effects and boss music desynchronization.

The bugs I had from the PSX version that I expect to crop up:
The original had a Lightning Sword bug where the AI would always use it and play in Japanese audio.
Training Water magic by staying in acid pools would mess up the audio at some point.
The last dungeon played some messed up grouping of different sound fx after winning a battle.

They made a statement back in September that they were working to fix some of the reported issues, and that's why they pushed back the PC release. Though as far as I know, they haven't outlined what the extent of the changes will be--so I'm a little nervous that we're this close to launch without patch notes on that front.

Really hope they fix the broken sound effects, as they were pretty bad on the Switch.

Not just the sound effects, the music too
But supposedly, it was delayed till today so they could patch it. We'll see.

I agree, the floor textures are one of the biggest problems. In any case one of the most visible.
I really hope that GungHo will do its best to solve it.

Is it just me or is the in-world image/character for Feena cut in half and mis-aligned? is there a fix for this?
