PC or Switch Version?
I've really been getting into JRPG's lately and have been going back and playing all the classics that I missed and Grandia looks like a game I would love. I'm just debating on getting the steam or Switch version. I think I'd prefer the switch although pc would be nice considering I'd basically have the game forever not until nintendo decides to shut down the switch online service or make me buy it again for whatever console they come with next for reasons. I do see a lot of complaints here about the pc port and the switch reviews said there were some issues also. They do have the original ps1 version still on sale for $5.99 on the ps3 store I could get it there since it seems like the HD remasters don't have any quality of life changes? Which would be the biggest reason to buy the HD version for me. Also issue with ps3 is I have too many consoles so I basically have to unplug something to plug it in it's just a pain in the ass.

Both have essentially the same issues. So just go with whichever you're more comfortable gaming on really.
PC version has less audio issues, and the screen flicker after entering battle is gone

Pc version can be (roughly) patched, in some way.

Coming off YS I/II the quality drop was so bad I ended up refunding (which Valve was forced to do by a court) otherwise be stuck with it.

Wait to see if it gets patched up would be my advice. I wouldn't keep your hopes up though.

PC because fans recently found a way to remove the texture filtering on it and restore the pixel art to the way the original creators designed it to look:

PC because you can run it in extra speed to make the grinding more bearable.

Hmmm, I believe the cutscenes are much worse on PC than they are on Switch

You've gone into court for a 20$ game?

Here comes a necromancer...
I'm having to make this decision and for me it's:
a) Do I want a portable version?
b) Do I want a game I can play on every future pc I buy...
And then I might get a Steam deck some day AND it's twice as expensive on Switch...
Yeah, the only edge consoles have are exclusives and those even seem scant...
