Suggestions for a rework Demi's Abilities, that actually make the game fun.

Demi by far is the hardest Waifu to level due to her no longer leveling normally. Her abilities are kind of useless. I get the speed, scanning range and asteroid fields but it feels so useless given the huge hurdle it is to level her. In my opinion, she should give benefits that tangibly make the game more enjoyable.

Suggestions for abilities.
Scanning upgrade - Rather than increase scanning range, give her scan the ability to show what planet has. whether it is an event/ a ground combat/ or space combat.

Rather than asteroid fields.
Give her the ability to increase EXP gained or increase damage | defense against certain faction types. You have 5 factions and ground or shoot em up, so 10 levels

Pirates | FUbots | Kloi | Requital | Imperium

Rather than speed in moving,
Give the ability of skipping a mission.
When the player is over leveled, going back to waste time on all the low leveled nebulas. You can use the level cap to skip them. (But still allow the player to choose the Waifu brought). It can be based on increments of 10 or 15.
For example if the nebula is for level 10-15 for a Squad level of greater than 30 the combat situation for a faction is skipped.
You have five factions and two battle grounds for a total of ten.

Rather than drops in Shoot them ups.
Reduce damage to shields from certain types of damage.
Collision | missiles | Layers. etc. Or maybe reduce damage from certain factions in general.

In my opinion with this set of improvements, Most players would enjoy the grind lessened. and the tangible benefits to Leveling up your Waifus. (Repeating the same boring stuff is not fun, it feels like a chore. Getting the player to speed level their Waifu, would allow lesser negative feelings on the grinding.) Such changes also feel like Demi is fighting with you.

It's only the planets with the purple symbol on them that drop augmentations, there aren't all that many of them.

I believe you are mistaken. The purple symbol is for collectibles. The only way to level Demi up is to level up all your Waifus. She only levels up if your gain the Apex industries pieces ( From Waifu leveling)

Literally picked up her last two pieces on these planets yesterday, plus the devotion one, while everyone else was long since maxed out.

Atm I am spamming out the 'Collectible' planets (purple | mark).

Bro... It is painful. Most drops are artwork, and I just want DEMI levels . I'm having to check every single system for the mark.

If I didn't have all Waiful lvl 40 it probably wouldn't be so bad, but I did not know this is what I needed for DEMI and thought it was still like the old system.

I'm slowly going through the game on a new playthrough to note down all the drops for DEMI parts in order to update the wiki to help out people trying to finish her. For the time being, patience and exploration is prescribed.

From my own playthrough it drops based on the number of missions completed I think every ten. when I was power leveling my Harem to 40, I didn't bother running space and grid combat missions and just completed every explore missions I could find. I still leveled up Demi by 4 levels despite not fighiting at all. Im at end game and cannot force myself to work her to 40 when Blythe's achievement is broken.

lordgizka's right, Demi upgrade is all in purple icon, collect each one to gain a level

As someone who tried hunting all the blue icons to powerlevel Demi to 40, I will again stand by my answer and say that you are wrong. From what I gather she is based on the number of missions completed.

There's no way to power level Demi since it's tied with her upgrade implant. Story progress > New area unlocked > new planet with purple icon to explore an get the upgrade. In the final act, Demi 'll stuck at lv39 until you do her devotion mission to get the final upgrade piece and unlock 40

I know, that is why I gave up. I did her devotion mission at her being at level 35. I do not have the time nor the patience to level her up four more times. In what I believe to require 40 more missions.

As someone that literally just got done power leveling demi from 22 to 40. I only got her parts from specifically blue investigation missions. Granted it was still a search. But again. It's the only way I found them.

When i was playing demi parts were always on an interact planet (where you select a waifu with the approiate tags) and not missions. tbh you are not missing out on much by not having her at 40 as i think you will get all her pandora scene by 30 and her outfits are just pallete swaps.

I can 100% confirm they are fixed planet rewards and we have all the data to be updating the wiki ASAP. I'm just waiting to hear from the wiki main editor about format detail.

One thing that I wish was changed are the SHMUP upgrades. They should be available much earlier than the rest. They're the only real thing that changes the gameplay. So what if the Mary Celeste can move faster or scan farther? I'd rather have some help in the form of more and varied drops during space combat.
