No music during story.
This is like a serious game breaking issue. The music plays when characters speak and stops when there is no active dialogue, its insanely distracting. Turning down music volume fixes it but ya no music sucks.

Yup, same issue here. Noticed a few other people with the same issue posting in the bugs thread but no fix yet afaik.

Shelved the game for now until someone finds a fix or the devs sort it out.

Well thats a shame, how could this pass for full release then? I consider this just as bad if not worse than full on crash because I thought I was going mad... then decided to turn music all the way down and realized that was the absurd speech distortion, the music stuck on a reduced level but noticeable volume only during active dialogue. Possibly the most odd game glitch I've ever encountered. Sadly looking like this one is gunna be neglected. Guess that long story intro made sure for that 2 hour window sale... friggin snakes
This bug still exists in 1.1. Very annoying, this game has a pretty good soundtrack that I can hear during dialogues only in the menu.

Any fix or workaround? Happened to me after about 10 hours of playtime, just before the drinking minigame, which is now unplayable.

Seems to be save-related issue, as new game plays fine and the issue persists on another device.

EDIT:
Ok, good news is, it fixed itself somehow. Had to play the minigame without music and skip some cutscenes and the music is back. I had to use replay in the Captains Quarters to see the cutscenes properly.

Initially had slightly stuttery cutscenes but music was fine, moved to SSD, videos now fine but music "pauses" between dialogue lines.

I hope it will "fix itself" as it did with Suavek, but doing a integrity check etc too.
